Voice Experience
I am self-taught (for the most part) in voice-overs!
I can provide voiceovers for any age group or gender, and serious or comedic content. My voice is very adaptable to
any environment or situation! From warm & friendly to elderly & sincere, or even down right ticked off!
Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Dialects: Arabic, African American, Caucasion, Hispanic, and Indian
Characters: Elderly (specializing in old lady voices), Deep Male Voice, Nerdy, Geek, Dirty, Grunge
Impersonations: Political, Cartoon & Cereal Characters, Radio & Television Celebrities
Flintstones, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Clinton, Slim Pickens, 3 Stooges, Cheech & Chong, Beetlejuice, Pee Wee Herman, Sean Connery, Beavis & Butthead, Fred Sanford, Don Adams, Tennessee Tuxedo, Maxwell Smart, Popeye, Bullwinkle and Rocky, Sylvester Stallone, Terminator/Arnold Swartzenegger, John Wayne, "Froggy" from the Little Rascals, Edith Bunker and MANY MORE!
Sound Effects: Jet, Helicopter, birds, Speed Racer's car jumping, Car/motorcycle, Bow & Arrow, Typewriter, Fan Voice. Again, too many to mention along with various animal sounds and mechanical, device noises.
89X (WCIMX) in Windsor/Detroit
I entered a contest and competed against several other contestants for which I WON A SCHOLARSHIP! I used my experience with voice-overs to win the chance to attend the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Southfield, Michigan. I completed courses there with high honors and references to California for work. However, the trip in 1999 was not timely due to strikes in California, and much of the studio work was moved to Canada later that year.
Phony Phone Calls
I would make phone calls to unsuspecting individuals and record comedy skits with them. Many times I used a variety of voices on the phone calls, while the individuals thought they were talking to multiple people...it was just me!
Television & Movies
I've got many whimsical commercials and advertising ideas written, which could be converted (and elongated) to be full size Saturday Night Live sketches. The best sketches have a great beginning, middle AND ending! I feel confident that I have the abilities to be a great team player, as I work well with others creating such sketches.
I also have experience with movies, with past jobs as an "extra". You can see me in a Smashing Pumpkins video, as a dancer in "The Spy Who Shagged Me", a cab driver in the Arnold Swartzenegger movie "End of Days", and as a movie-goer in "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge" circa 1999 (including the trailer clip too), and MORE!
Hobbies & Other Talents!
I'm no "MacGuyver", but I could win "Survivor"!
Give me the chance, and I will NOT disappoint.

- Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts (for Radio & Television) - Broadcast schooling 1996 & 1997. I learned to use all aspects of the Avid Pro Suite to construct a few videos of music, news segments and comedy skits. I'm sure all technology has been upgraded since then, but I learn quite rapidly and would adapt immediately.
- 89X Radio Segways - "Helen, 89X's Oldest Listener" aka "Helen Bedd" - I would call in to the radio station and introduce songs for them with the wrong titles in this old lady voice, giving the DJ's an opportunity to correctly introduce the song with a little bit of comic relief. It was a very popular voice effect with the station and its listeners.
